Things to Know Before Choosing GCSE Tutors For Your Child

As a caring parent, you would like to provide your child with the best education. It won’t be wrong to say that the level of competition in terms of academics and career has increased exponentially over the years. Want to get A stars at GCSEIf your child is preparing for GCSE you would know that school lessons aren’t enough. A typical classroom in your child’s school doesn’t cater to all the challenges that he or she faces. This is where GCSE tutors can help and let your child excel in what is often termed as the stepping stone in a person’s life. Since you come across GCSE tutors everywhere you need to be choosy.

Here are some of the things you must keep in mind while choosing a GCSE tutor for your child.

  • Academic Expertise – Teachers like wine tend to mature with time and more the experience they bring to the classroom better it is for your child. Hence you need to be aware of the kind of academic experience and expertise the tutors have. Experience also means that they would be able to spot your child’s weak areas faster and offer them the necessary guidance and support.
  • Interactive Classroom – Irrespective of the tall claims most classrooms in schools aren’t interactive. Hence you need to find a classroom that is interactive and brings out the best in your child by encouraging them to engage in discussions with their peers.
  • Class Size – The size of the class is one important factor you shouldn’t ignore. If the size is the same as one your child attends the school it isn’t likely to help your child much. A small class size ensures that the tutor can attend to the problem areas of your child. Your child would feel more comfortable to ask questions and clear his or her doubts in a small group compared to studying with a school size class.
  • Home Schooling Needs – If your child is undergoing homeschooling you’d know that his or her needs from a tutor would be different from a child who attends regular school. In such cases, before choosing the tutors you must make sure that they have sufficient experience in teaching students who are being schooled at home.
When you consider these things you would be able to find the right GCSE tutors and give wings to your child’s dreams and aspirations. Please remember GCSE grades can decide your child’s future and hence you need to be extremely choosy while finding a tutor.
